Joseph Field is an aspiring Music teacher at The Crane School of music SUNY Potsdam New York. From Long Island, Joseph Field has been involved with music professionally and unprofessionally throughout his elementary and High School career. Starting Piano at the age of 10 he has studied and worked on a lot of repertoire participating in NYSSMA up and including level 6. Having studied with alumni student of Hofstra University Christen Dejsus he was able to preformed at Carnegie hall Weil Recital hall in the Frank and Cameal’s Piano festival in January 2014. Aside from his Piano studies, Joseph Field started his pre professional career in Orchestra and the Violin starting at the age of 12 at H. Frank Carey High School. Having studied with alumni Julliard student Mr. Jeffery Brous inspired him to go into the studies of Orchestra. He has also studied with alumni Crane student Mr. Gregory Krajci and alumni student of the Aaron Copland school Ms. Laura Mole. He was a member of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra for two years under the instruction of Patsy Koppies, Ben Anerdensen, and Scott Stickly. Aside from performances and private studies, Joseph Field has and is currently a substitute Piano teacher at the music store Catolano’s Music on Long Island where he has worked with numerous students of all ages.
